It is best to visit Cuartel in the summer, or during dry season (december to may), as it really shines against an azure backdrop. It is visually pleasing and a pleasure to look at. 2 26 23 Side quest. Before our lunch, we took a side-trip to the ruins. It was actually our plan to eat lunch here before we arrived. We only took a couple of photos before we were done. There was not much else to do except take photos. We never received any explanation about the historic value of this area. We didn't like the sari-sari shop nearby... see more

We went there around 5pm. It is open all the time and is free of charge. There are several nice photo opportunities whether it is with daylight or during night time. It is a nice place to chill and enjoy the scenery.

Small compound of spanish era well preseved. As usual, they started hyperloud music at 2 30pm when in the area there were just 5 people me included..... But why People here can t live in harmony with any place... So sad....

Nicely kept area around cathedral and ruin Partly with panels explaining. The museum is currently closed due to renovation.
