Antonio Pigafetta Monument

Italo Filipino Association to Cebu, to commemorate the arrival of the first Italian to land in the Philippines. He wrote many writings that describe the culture and people of the Philippines during Magellan's time.

He was never found at the Plaza Independencia.

Cebu City government officially restored the monument on 13 April 2021 in honor of Magellan's 500th anniversary of his expedition to the Philippines.

This restaurant was packed when we stopped by for lunch. It was unclear if this is a sign of trouble or if the restaurant is more for dinner. I was a little confused by the price list and the menu. Pigafetta is a great place to eat. I have had Pigafetta twice in the past and both times found it delicious. There are many delicious options for starters, mains, pizzas, and desserts on the menu. It is situated in Vibo Plaza, right next to the Grand Hotel. Although my hotel isn't particularly large, this restaurant is. Service was attentive, but not too overbearing. Good food, fresh pasta. It was so nice to feel at home in a new place! Excellent service and delicious food. Everything was delicious. We tried a pasta, a pizza and some salads. It was a great meal that I recommend to anyone who is missing Italian cuisine or just loves it.
