The Bigby’s Café Concept was first introduced in the city of Cagayan de Oro on December 8, 1998. Its creators came up with an idea of creating an atmosphere fit for an adventure into the different cuisines of the world. The menu, the interior design and service style were created to position the concept midway between fine dining and fast-casual dining. This format has developed into the Bigby’s Café and Restaurant System.

Bigby’s Café and Restaurant is now located in major cities in the Visayas and Mindanao. It has a total of 15 branches located at Ayala Centrio Mall CDO, SM City Cagayan de Oro, SM CDO Downtown Premier, Ayala Abreeza Mall Davao, SM City Davao, Veranza KCC Mall General Santos, Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Cebu, Cebu I.T. Park, SM Seaside City Cebu, SM City Iloilo, Festive Walk Mall Iloilo, Ayala Malls Capitol Central Bacolod, Robinson’s Place Butuan, and Robinson’s Place Valencia, with more branches located in SM City Butuan and SM City Mindpro Zamboanga in the year 2020.

BIGBY'S COMPANY PROFILE On December 8, 1998, Bigby s Caf Concept first appeared in Cagayan de Oro. Bigby s Caf and Restaurant revolutionized the dining experience in New York City by 1999.

It has become the ultimate choice for families, urban professionals and businessmen. It has become a popular dining spot with its quirky decors, which hang on each wall. These are complimented by its wide selection of imaginatively named dishes that it offers in large portions and at affordable prices. Bigby's Caf was selected by Ayala Center Cebu to be one of the pioneering food outlets within the Ayala Entertainment Center in 2000.

Bigby's Caf was a huge hit with the Cebuano community. People were immediately attracted to this concept, and it quickly gained an incredible following. Bigby's Caf is a landmark for excellent food and exceptional service. For the years 2000 to 2006, it was awarded Grand Champion at the longest-running culinary contest in the Philippines, the Kumbira.

Its marketing and business achievements have also been acknowledged by institutions like the Ayala Malls Group and SM Malls. The Go Negsyo Team Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship and the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce which awarded it the Most Outstanding Business Enterprise Award.
