About Fort San Pedro

Fuerte de San Pedro is a military defense structure in Cebu, built by the Spanish under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi, first governor of the Captaincy General of the Philippines. It is located in the area now called Plaza Independencia, in the pier area of the city.

Take advantage of the tour guide's free service. We tip the student intern even though it is free. She was very dedicated and focused on her job as a guide. We were also impressed by her bubbly personality and friendliness. I have been back to this place many times.

This is one of the most preserved Spanish forts anywhere in the country.

Small fort, expect no more than 1 hour to explore this site. There nothing much you can do inside, other than just walking in circle along the walls. I like the blind performers (and please tip them well) they set the mood well for a moment their music transported me to Gualajadara or Mexico City.

) The entrance fee was 30 pesos per adult. There is nothing in particular, but it is a fortress ruin. I thought that there is such a tourist spot in Cebu. For some reason, Japanese armor was displayed in the gallery. (

I was there for a wedding celebration. It s a nostalgic place for celebrations, but just try to check the weather. It s not good if it rains all the time.
