It was very nice to get a discount at the souvenir shop and purchase a pair of earrings and a pair of hat pants.

Nice Monument, but it could be better. The tourist facilities are poor and the waterway surrounding is full of trash.

It was late at night, so the souvenir shop had closed. However, I was still able to learn a lot about Lapu Lapu.

It is located along Punta Enga o Road, just a few kilometers from MCIA. This historical landmark is well-known and popular for tourists to see.

This statue is in honor of Lapu Lapu, the Philippine's first hero. He fought the Spanish explorers led by Ferdinand Magellan at the Battle of Mactan 1521. The shrine and bronze statue were recently restored to improve its appearance for tourists from around the world.

The traffic in and out of this place sucks but hey welcome to island living It s a hearty place for history and culture the spot where Lapu Lapu is said to have met Magellan and his crew They gloss over this history lesson in the West so it was awesome to see Lapu Lapu s statue examples of huts the natives were living in over 500 years ago ... see moreSee all reviews
